Part 1 of 2: Washer Disinfectors, Wash Programs & Chemistry

This webinar session defines why Washer Disinfectors are used to reprocess RMD’s in CSSD, how a Washer Disinfector operates and defines how Thermal Disinfection works within an automated wash process. We then delve into how Wash Programs are created and how to correctly interpret Washer cycle printouts. We complete the Webinar discussing Chemistry, the pH Scale and Chemistry selection when processing RMD’s.

With a Bachelor of Communications and a Level 3 Sterilisation Services Certificate, Julianne Schipelliti has worked in Endoscopy and Sterilisation Services for 17 years. During this time, she was promoted through the ranks of the respective capital equipment organisations she has worked for as both National Sales Manager and Country Manager in Infection Control. Julianne’s passion has led her to providing quality education to sterilisation technicians across Australia and New Zealand and conducting standards compliant performance qualification and validation. In 2017, she identified an opportunity for a customer service focused infection control business and commenced a start-up business venture, Proline Medical. In January 2021, Julianne transitioned to Director, heading up Proline Medical full time.
