Minnie has trained and worked in a few different countries across various health industries: nursing for over 20 years predominantly in perioperative area; surgical instrument consultation for 3 years; education for 5 years.. Minnie is experienced in clinical education and curriculum development, surgical instrumentation and reprocessing, surgical inventory project management. These diverse work experiences have given Minnie a global view and comprehensive understanding of the peri-operative world and sterilisation industry, and more importantly, the connection/gap in between.
In a fast-paced work environment everyone is under pressure. Whether you are a technician working in CSSD or a nurse working in theatre, we encounter similar problems such as quick turn-over, short staffing, non-conforming RMDs, delay in deliveries, etc. However, the implication or consequences can be very different on the persons dealing with the problem at different stages of the working cycle. Having an understanding and some knowledge on the other party’s job role, gives us an insight and equips us for more efficient work processes and better outcomes.
